Helstrom is an American drama series based on the thriller mystery, horror, and superhero genre. The TV series was created by Paul Zbyszewski, an American television producer, director, and scriptwriter. Paul is known for his works like Lost and Day Break, After the Sunset, etc.

A Marvel Comics Series

The TV series is based on the Marvel Comic characters Daimon Hellstrom, also known as the son of Satan, and Satana Hellstrom, which is a half-human and half-demon. They are both the son and daughter of a strange, mysterious but very strong, and superhuman kind of serial killer.

The siblings have got a complex and complicated mechanism as they go after the terrorizing part of human beings and they both use their own special skills and personal attitudes.

Mixed Response

The filming of the series took place in Vancouver, Canada, and was released in October 2020. There has been one successful season which consisted of 10 adventurous episodes. The series was praised for the visual effects and the scene sequencing and acting skills were commended too.

But, the TV series mostly met with an unfavorable response from the audiences because of the weak script, and due to the negative ratings, the second season was canceled.
